clonazepam vs xanax high

Creating a Custom Course. Klonopin is a close second, taking a bit longer to kick in, and making me sleep longer I even talked to the doctor about them being equally potent, but he didn't right the last script and probably felt 30 pills were better for starting a new benzo. I'm not interested in GED. For either medication, your doctor will probably start you off with the lowest possible dosage. Just my 2 cents How do you take 7mg of clonazepam and not black out lol. It enters the system quickly too.

Clonazepam brand name klonopin You are viewing lesson Lesson 6 in chapter 3 of clonazepam course:. I work in, they are considered equipotent m. Asked alot, but let's get a clonazeoam. It really high down to a matter of opinion. Valium also seems xanax hit the quickest.

Takes longer to kick in, lasts times as long as Xanax, relaxes your muscles, you'll likely remember what you did while under the influence of it Kpins for the win. For me Xanax wins hands down. You hit the nail on the head. For some of us I believe Clonazepam is just too subtle to enjoy. I like to wake up and mg of kpin then at night when I'm about o go out take.

Whenever I take Xanax, it kicks in fast, gives me that extra kick and feels a slight more goofier buzz, however it wears off as fast as it kicked in. I take 1mg to 1. Its sort of like being on antihistamines. Xanax might be useful for panic attacks, but its NOT recreational at all. Taking 4mg of Xanax???? Thats considered almost an OD. Or did you mean 0. Xanax is something I will no longer mess around with. I have been on and off benzos for over 20 years.

I was on xanax for nearly a year along with klonopin. As stated over and over again, xanax is a prn med that is used when an impending panic attack or whatever you are being treated for is likely to happen. It works fast and the effects wear off fast. It also creates more of a "buzz" than other fast acting benzos I have tried. The main problem with it is that it is very addictive and can create dependency very quickly.

Not that clonazepam cannot do the same but I found that k-pin will keep my 'overall' anxiety down during the day and I never feel the need for more as I did with xanax. It is a long acting benzo and docs in the psych. I have also found that fast acting benzos are likely to create tolerance much faster than long acting benzos. I have been on k-pin for several years now and have never felt I needed more. That was not the case with xanax. It didn't taKe long before the dose of xanax I was using was not as effective.

I remember a guy that had been through treatment referred to xanax as "The Satan of all benzos". I recall coming off of xanax under medical supervision and as with all benzos the wd's are absolute hell but xanax was particularly evil. What was strange is that I still had a fair bit of Klonopin which I didn't let anyone know about. I thought I could use it if things got really bad and I needed some sleep. After I had been off of xanax for months, I was prescribed a small amount but enough to get me hooked again, so I thought.

I couldn't believe how fast I was hooked. I was certain that I wouldn't experience the WD's again. They were not as severe but I would have nerve pain in my feet that was unbearable. It felt like someone was jamming nails into my toes. There was a severe burning feeling in my feet as well. They wanted to give me xanax again but I said "no way".

Xanax is usually the choice of recreational users because it is so fast acting and does produce a more noticeable sense of sedation but I think it is so addictive that it should only be prescribed as a last resort. I see docs handing it out like candy and I cringe. I don't know if that answers your question but I wanted to weigh in since I have extensive experience with both meds. Even then, 4mg Xanax is not a high dose. Now I can drink the hell outa some beer om Xanax but let me have 3 beers on a Klonopin and I'm gone for at least 8 hours.

When Im on Xanax, I gain weight, and not by the drug. I used to do hardcore workouts when I was off of them. Xanax is not recreational whatsoever. I get the same effects like if I was taking antihistamines. It just knocks me out. Klonopin or Xanax Valium. But seriously though, of those two I'd have to say the least shitty is Xanax. Go with the Xanax next time - you can take enough Klonopin to be equivalent but it's not going to be the same.

I have not taken K-pins however was prescribed. I was completely un-affected by the xanax, and told my doctor "No Thank you" when it came time to renew. Sorry for bringing up a 2 year old thread, but better than posting a new one. I has to chime in on here. I have the tolerance to opiates which really helps not OD'ing. I've tried Benzos here and there but never got addicted to them, until now. Both of them have there ups and downs. If you're looking for instant relief, Xanax wins.

If you're looking for a long term anxiety med, Klonopin wins. You know what I mean. Basically, Xanax is better for panic attacks and, helps more with depression. Klonopin doesn't fuck up my memory like Xanax does. You look less like a zombie on klonopin literally, when I take too much Xanax I walk and look like a zombie Of course like I said both of them have there ups and downs, and meds effect everyone differently. Like what im basically saying is, someone can say the exact opposite answer of mine and still be right.

Theres no right or wrong answer to this question, it depends on the person. If someone walks in doctors room and suffers terrible panic attacks, he's more than likely getting Xanax. If someone has chronic anxiety, or is looking to taper off all benzos together like I am, klonopin is the way to go. As for potency i think 1 mg of xanax is like 2. I find xanax way stronger and personally can barely stay up more than 1 and a half to 2 hours on it.

Once i made it about 5 hours really fighting the sleep. I can take kpin and stay awake all day though, i think some people find kpin stronger but i would hate to take 4 mg of kpin be pretty good and then think i can take 4 mg of xanax and do the same because id be fucked up off 4 mg xanax and pass out fast. I think Xanax and klonopin are equipotent, but Xanax comes on harder and lasts for a significantly shorter period of time.

I prefer kpins personally because even at doses of mg I get great relaxation and hypnotic effects but any dose of alprazolam above 2mg almost always entails a few hours of a benzo blackout. It's much easier to build up a tolerance to clonazepam though. I can take 1 mg of alprazolam a day for a month and still get nice effects out of it, but after three days of 1 mg of clonazepam, it's like taking nothing really. But in general it works out good, because you don't experience interdose withdrawal with clonazepam like you do with xanax.

Xanax is more powerful, although only slightly. Clonazepam is very ineffective for me, it doesn't help me sleep at all, it doesn't help my anxiety at all, I find it useless. I'd say it's realistically more like 0. Originally Posted by tricomb. But klonopin lacks that intense onset that xanax has To answer your question, in terms of potency on a single use, I'd say Xanax most definitely. But if you let klonopin build up in your plasma after a week of daily use, 1 mg hits me hard because of the additive effect. Last edited by GABAking; at I have never tried klonopin but have a fair bit of experience with benzos, having used Diazepam Valium , Xanax.. The last two are not benzos but work pretty much the same as very effective sleeping tablets Etizolam is a benzo analogue and is legal to use and easy to get hold of, being unscheduled in some countries.

I guess it depends why you want to take benzos and what effect you're looking for It's not as potent as Valium and I find the effect of Xanax much cleaner and my cognitive functioning is ok and I don't feel so drowsy as I do with Valium. Etizolam and Zaleplon just knock me out. I will be asleep within minutes after taking one and will sleep soundly for 8 hours without waking up. Zaleplon is unusual because it has a very short half-life, only 1 hour.

So it might have some recreational use or medical use where you need it tackle performance anxiety or get you through a difficult situation but without feeling drugged up for the rest of the day. I have not tried it for that though, but it might be suitable at lower doses. Just to clear up some confusion: What would the equivalence be for daily maintenance use? Originally Posted by The. That being said I have really never had a problem when consuming a low dosage no more than 2 mg with switching back and forth between the two. It took me a couple of months to begin feeling interdose withdrawal when I was on Lorazepam for a bit, but I just switched back to clonazepam. Oh and just for the infor. Therein lies the answer to your issue.

Thank you to all, very helpful. This is an extremely hard question to answer, and I have used both extensively being a benzo addict. For a simple one-time administration, which is more potent? This question is really hard, but I often think about it. I go back to when I had no tolerance, and I would have to say, you know what the world will never know just like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsiepop.

It is just not an answerable question IMO. It also depends on the properties they possess. One may be a stronger anxiolytic than the other, while the other is a stronger hypnotic, and then there is the anticonvulsant effects to take into consideration. I'm not completely sure, but I think that xanax is the stronger of the two when it comes to hypnotic effects, and klonopin is the stonger anticonvulsant, and their anxiolytic effects may be equipotent.

According to the big chart on the wall in the E. I work in, they are considered equipotent m. In my experience, alprazolam is better for treating panic and acute anxiety, whereas clonazepam is better for general procedural sedation and works very well when co-administered with a neuroleptic to treat psychotic episodes and anesthesia emergence reactions. For recreational use; I find them more or less the same.

IMO i guess xanax is "stronger" but kolopin seems to last longer? This is all in my opinion so u should listen to the moderators bro.
