Ended up also getting light Botox injections in eyelid muscles. This combo therapy has not resulted in a total cessation of eyelid spasms, but has reduced them enough so that I can drive again the main disability caused by the blepharospasm.
Taking the clonazepam at night also helps me get a better night's rest than before I took it. The first few days I took it I was dizzy and very sleepy. However, those side effects have now subsided. Take 1 MG tab at night before bed. As mentioned above, also got Botox injections to reduce eyelid spasmx. Taking the rivotril made me sleepy at first but then it just calmed me down enough to be able to cope with life. I was constantly anxious and scared and the rivotril made it possible for me to come down to relatively normal anxiety levels in "safe" situations, whereas before I didn't have any situations I considered safe.
It helped me sleep and made me feel more rested and in control. I got pregnant while taking it I had been trying for 18 years and I honestly believe that being more relaxed helped me not only to get pregnant but to carry the baby as I had had four miscarraiges previously. I started confronting situations that were uncomfortable to me before and was able to live a reasonably normal life, even though I have become housebound.
I feel the rivotril got me through a very tough time in my life. The Rivotril didn't have any side effects in the long run, it made me a bit sluggish at first. However after taking it for a few years and feeling I no longer needed it, I found it impossible to stop taking it as the withdrawal symptoms were so bad. I have cut the dosage down considerably, from 5 mg at night to one, then I became nervous again and started taking 2 again.
I have tried several times to come off the drug completely but the results have been tremors and feeling sick along with high anxiety to the point of hardly being able to speak. I would always go back on it. I just coudn't stop taking even a small amount. I was told that panic attacks were caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain in the same area that caused epileptic fits.
As Rivotril is a sedative and is given to people with epilepsy they had found that it also helped alleviate panic attacks. I was prescribed it for this reason. I am unable to take anti-depressants which also stop panic attacks because of strong side effects so this was a better choice for me at the time. I feel that it did the job, but had I known I would be on it for the rest of my life I'm not sure I would have started taking it. But maybe if I was desperate like I was then I would. I was concerned about taking it while pregnant but my child was normal.
She did have bad withdrawal symptoms though after I stopped breast feeding her. No one realized that was what was happening when she cried all the time for seemingly no reason. Back then it was unknown that going off the drug caused withdrawal as the drug had never been used short term. Only for epileptics for life. She is 13 now and perfectly normal. However I do feel guilty about having put her through that.
Prozac makes me feel just stabilized not really "Happy",it really just levels me out so i can cope with everyday life and the stresses involved. It was one of the better medications i have tried and have tried several over the past few years that really did nothing. Seroquel was also prescribed for sleeping. I took that in combination with the clonazepam. The phobia seems to dissapate but it can also return again as i have developed it twice, or i could develop another phobia.
In essence i have relapsed seen a psychiatrist, a counsellor, and my doctor along with the medications as part of my treatment program over the last 1. The drug was taken for my daily anxiety caused by stress and also insomnia to help relax my body before bed. The drug is mainly intended for anxiety and works great at relieving those systems such as irregular heart beat, nervousness and other anxiety causing symptoms. I give it a 9 out of 10 for its performance.
The only thing i didnt like about this drug is that with taking it overtime I felt as if my body built tolerance to the drug as well as became more dependent on it. I still am until this day and have managed to ween off the drug. Then again every ones body is different, Just do your research before taking benzodiazepines long term. The treatment overall treated my anxiety quickly and effectively.
The drug overall has treated me effectively despite the minor drawbacks. After 12 years of living with anxiety problems I discovered clonazepam and now this is my emergency pill. Fast effects which relaxes me quickly. When I take clonazepam I feel a little dizzy, just like being drunk! Imetrex works but makes me so tired. Today I woke with a terrible migraine I got up took a Clonazepam 1mg and it went away I feel great.

I have Relpax as a rescue drug and it works great, but I am only supposed to use it twice a week or else face rebound headaches. I asked my doc to prescribe Klonopin, mostly because I am under a lot of stress and I had read that it could help with TMJ disorder I grind my teeth badly and I have restless leg syndrome, Fibro and RA.
What I didn't expect was for it to reduce my migraines considerably. I only had to take my Relpax 3 times last month! I got so used to my "every 3 months cycle" that when I knew it was time for it to come around, I would actually warn school and work that I'd be needing at least 3 to 5 days off. I literally don't know anyone who gets them as bad as I do, I vomit and I'm extremely sensitive to light and sound and I literally can't get out of bed for 3 to 5 days.
They've caused me several jobs and several missed days of school. I've been prescribed over 20 different medications trying to find that worked but nothing ever did. I've been taking 2mg every 12 hrs still getting use to the side effects but overall it seems my migraines are very minor so far. I've been taking less of my migraine meds, which I'm extremely happy about. Doctors put me on all types of pain and triptan class drugs and while they numbed it they didn't do much. I would always awake with a migraine and it would last days.
I have forgot the bottle on weekly trips and do find my quality of sleep is reduced but overall no other side effects. Do plan to drop to. I have suffered with her sleeping in a dark room for hours until she feels better but now with this medicine we have rested.
Although she gets the attacks they are not as bad as before. When my son had a medical crisis and was hospitalized recently, I had my first 2 migraines within 12 hrs of each other. I became so anxious of having another it was non-stop anxiety. My psych said to use the clonazepam for the anxiety and another 0. Two times I have taken 2 Advil mg and 0. Whether the increased dose is helping abort the migraine or just calm my anxiety over having one, the relief is good in either case.

My neurologist gave me a vessel medication which didn't change anything.
He gave me Klonopin and they were gone by the next day. I just have to make sure I take the medicine before I get the headache. On a side note I have partial seizures from meningitis damage in my brain when I was two and take Lamictal and Keppra for that.
